TRAUMA TEST
Being able to recognize where we are concerning emotional trauma is crucial to understanding decisive aspects of our life choices, our daily struggles and stagnant areas.
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS
Although not everyone responds the same way, some common signs of trauma include cognitive changes, altered behavioural patterns, emotional stress, and physical problems. Psychological trauma typically affects our thoughts, memory, decision-making, emotions, and physical and mental health, causing lasting impacts on our ability to function and deal with stress. However, recovery is possible, but it may take time and require a deep commitment to the healing process. Meanwhile, psychotherapy helps process the most painful experiences and heavy feelings, and medication help alleviate psychiatric symptoms when needed.

A UNIVERSAL
NEED
Trauma is not exclusively the result of bad experiences but also the absence of good experiences that should occur in childhood, such as being seen, heard, welcomed, valued and accepted as you were. This is a universal need. When children have to make an effort to ensure that their relationship with their parents or caregivers is good or suppress their feelings to conform to expectations, they go through a process of dissociation that leads to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and immunological diseases in adulthood.
